“Spirituality is the commitment to the nurture of connections” wrote James Carroll; the act of photographing is, for me, a way of connecting to my environment.
I normally choose to photograph in quiet places which encourage contemplation, and then let my senses do the rest. The resulting images often have a metaphorical dimension which invites the viewer to enter their world; they pose questions and suggest rather than make definitive statements.
