Show Number 9: 13.August - 9.October 2005 Temporal contraction(s) The intention of these works is to further explore my fascination with story telling. This set of photographs are a part of what have been ‘nicknamed’ light dreamscape arrangements, largely titled that by default, these act more as departure points for a narrative rather than as finished stories or tales. Throughout my overall practice is loosely threaded with poetic connections I hope to evoke for the viewer. I tend to make-work from collections of words and language that hold oblique and often internal relationships (internal in the sense that the objects work to create their own puns/plays/in-jokes) like indexes and such was the process with the images in this show, I view them as potential landscapes or stages that are fabricated but not controlled. |
