He has had been exhibiting since 1999 in both solo and group exhibitions.
His show Pastel Prick was exhibited in Auckland, Hamilton and Dunedin, and one of the images from the Pastel Prick series appeared on the cover of the contemporary art magazine Log Illustrated.
Recent group shows include Victory over Death at Peter McCleavey Gallery and Dimensions of at The High Street Project in Christchurch.
Geoffrey was one of three winners of the 2004 Waikato Trust National Contemporary Art Award.
His most recent exhibition Circle of Love was shown at Te Tuhi The Mark in Auckland in March/April 2005.

It was the portraits of New Zealand photographer Adrienne Martyn, and the work of international photographers including Dianne Arbus and Robert Mapplethorpe which initially had such an impact on Heath that it inspired him to pursue photography, both in his personal and commercial work.

‘I have been fascinated with photography since a family friend gave me a camera when I was 9 years old. Even then I was dreaming of elaborate sets for fantastical ideas that stemmed from my interest in movies.

My interests and influences now are everything from pop art to an unhealthy and obsessive interest with infomercials and reality television.’

Geoffrey Heath lives in Auckland and works as a freelance photographer.
